Human Resources Generalist

An exciting opportunity awaits the right candidate in a growing distribution company of energy-efficient products. We are currently seeking an experienced Human Resources Generalist to join our growing organization.

Responsibilities

• Handle staffing issues, such as requests for time off, benefit program questions, etc.
• Responsible for all payroll functions – ensure that all aspects of the payroll are processed correctly and on time
• Plan and coordinate the workforce to best use employees’ talents
• Plan and oversee employee benefit programs
• Serve as a consultant with other managers advising them on human resources issues, such as equal employment opportunity and employee performance
• Report directly to the President and full cooperation with managers

• Demonstrate a strong ability to work as a team
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills and uses total discretion
• Skills and fluency in pre-selection interviews
• Effective communication and organizational skills
• Ability to work under pressure, multi-task and meet deadlines

Education, Experience, and Licensing Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or Business administration (HR)
• 3 to 5 years’ experience in a similar position.
• Ability to supervise and be hands on when required
• Fluently bilingual in French and English, written and spoken
• Excellent knowledge of MS Office (Excel, Word and Outlook)
• Knowledge of Ceridian and/or ADP is an asset
• Job Types: Full-time, Permanent (8-hour shift)
