Quality and Efficiency: Greenlite CFLs (compact fluorescent light bulbs) are approximately four times more efficient and last up to 10 times longer than incandescent bulbs. A 26-watt Greenlite CFL has approximately the same light output as a 100-watt conventional bulb. Standard incandescent bulbs have an average lifetime of 750 to 2500 hours, while Greenlite CFLs last from 6,000 to 10,000 hours. In contrast to fluorescent lamps of the past, Greenlite CFLs are available in range of colors including soft white, warm white, cool white, natural white, and daylight. They use rare earth phosphors for excellent color and warmth and electronic circuits that don’t flicker or hum.

Save the Earth: Greenlite CFLs reduces air and water pollution. Replacing a single incandescent bulb with a Greenlite CFL will keep a half-ton of CO2 greenhouse gas out of the atmosphere over the life of the bulb. Saving electricity also reduces CO2, SOx, and NOx emissions from power plants.

And a few buck too: Although initially more expensive, you save money with Greenlite CFLs because they use one-quarter the electricity and last up to 10 times longer than incandescent bulbs. A 19-watt CFL used in place of a 75-watt incandescent will save about 560 kWh over its lifetime. At 12 cents per kWh, that amounts to a $67 savings with a single bulb!
